dc.description.abstract This paper attempts to study the beauty model in Omar bin Abi Rabia’s poetry, employing a stylistic and statistical approach. The poetic language pertaining to beauty in his poems are studied here, with a focus on certain features such as, vocabulary used to describe facial beauty, the mouth, the eyes, the neck, the hair, the body, the movement and nature of women. A table to show these features is attached at the end of the study. Then, I shifted to the beauty model, which is clear through the poet’s description of women, e.g., Hind, Zainab, Ar-rabaab. The relationship between the women and Omer is also supplemented in this paper by tables. Based on the above findings, it is evident that the ideal approach to description is through nature and its beauty elements, which in turn were reflected in his adventures. The beauty model for this poet, therefore, was pictorial and vivid in a living world, while his vocabulary was based on traditional Arab writing, and his pictures were framed in Arabic rhetoric. The beauty model for him is shown to be the traditional Arabic model. en_US
