dc.description.abstract This study aims at describing and analyzing attitudes of public relations practitioners in the Bahraini institutions towards the using of the Internet as a communication tool. The study adopts Grunig models and dialogue theory as a theoretical framework, and uses survey as a method. Results of the study indicates that PR practitioners in Bahrain have positive attitudes toward using their institutions’ websites to increase relationships building and interactivity between institutions and their stakeholders. The Internet also give PR practitioners the opportunities and capabilities to perform their job effectively. Results indicate also that PR practitioners in Bahraini organizations face some kinds of organizational, technical and financial obstacles in applying new technologies and the Internet in their departments. en_US
