Studying of the Some Mechanical Factors Effect of Javelin Release on Distance Approached

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanical factors effect of javelin release on the javelin flying path and the distance approached. The sample of this study was two Qatari national team in javelin throwers. The researchers used video type camera to analyze the players’ performance. The researchers analysis the best three attempted of six throws. The results of this study indicated numbers of factors affect on javelin thrown distance and flying path. The height, release angle, and speed release of the javelin were among the majors effect of Qatari players comparing to the high level javelin players. A number of recommendations and suggestions were proposed.
