The Cognitive Skills of the Disadvantages to Doping & Food Supplements for Body Building & Athletic Players in Jordan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assist the cognitive skills for doping & food supplements disadvantages for body building & athletic players and to investigate the effect of game, age, and qualification. One hundred and sixty six (91 body builders and 75 athletic) participated in the study and were randomly selected .A scale of 50 questions was build up which cover the different aspects of cognitive skills of doping & food supplements disadvantages. Results showed that the cognitive skills were weak & that there were significant differences according to game (in favor of the body building players), age (in favor of the 30 years or higher) and that there were no significant differences according to qualification. It was recommended that federations of the two games to develop special publication using multimedia to reflect the negative effects to the doping & food supplements.
