Abstract:
This research aimed at determining “the requirements of using e-learning in the colleges of King Saud University; and investigating how far the requirements are essential for faculty members at KSU. The participants were (278) faculty members at KSU (second semester-1428/1429). To meet research goals, the researchers created a questionnaire to describe the requirements of using e-learning; after examining its validity and reliability the research results revealed the upcoming: - The requirements of e-learning course and training the faculty members were highly important in faculty members points of view. - There were statistical significant differences between the average responses of the faculty members; professors, associate professors and assistant professors in favor for professors and associated professor regarding assessing the requirements of using e-learning - No statistical significant differences were found between the average responses of the faculty members about how important the requirements of using e-learning according to their nationalities and their experiences. In the light of research results, the recommendations were: - Holding many workshops for faculty members in computer and its educational applications on how to transfer printed courses to digital courses - construct the suitable environment needed to apply all strategic and effective e-learning - conducting evaluation study on King Saud university experience of using e-learning.
