Abstract:
This study aimed to know the real practices of the educational leadership of the school principals in Kuwait. It was applied to (19) school principals and (164) supervisors males and females, who were randomly chosen according to the variables of sex, qualifications and experience. The instrument of the study was made of (41) articles distributed among five main fields: Teaching and learning, the curriculum, vocational development, evaluation of students' achievement, vision, aims and objectives. The results showed that school principals' assessments for educational leadership practices was high in every area of the vocational field, while the supervisors, assessment was high in the teaching-learning field. Assessment of other fields was medium. The results also showed no statistical differences between the school principals' assessments of the leadership practice that can be attributed to the variables of sex and experience. But it showed differences that can be attributed to the variable of qualifications in the first field: teaching- learning one, the second: curriculum, the fifth: vision, aims and objectives and all fields together. But the results showed statistical differences, between school principals' assessments in the third field: vocational development and the fourth one: evaluating students' achievement.
