dc.description.abstract This research aimed to examine the differences in emotional intelligence according to some demographic variables among students in the College of Graduate Studies in Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. The sample consisted of 242 male and female students )210 male and 32 female(, from the College of Graduate Studies in Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in Riyadh, who were selected using the stratified random sampling method. The Data was collected using the emotional intelligence scale of Alwani 2011. Results of the analysis that used the descriptive approach show that there are no statistically significant differences according to the emotional intelligence scale related to gender, social status, the nature of students’ work, their study programs, and specializations. However there were statistically significant differences according to the emotional intelligence scale related to work experience, level of study, and age. The results of the study also indicated a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and age. And a high level of emotional intelligence among the students in the sample. en_US
