Abstract:
This study aims at investigating the attitudes of health workers of Al- Karak district toward elderly. The sample consisted of (911) health workers. A scale of “Attitudes Toward Elderly” was used. The results showed that there were weak positive attitudes toward elderly. There were significant differences in attitudes related to sex, age, and job. Also, the results showed no significant differences in attitudes related to level of education, place of work, experience, marital status and whether there was an elderly in the family. Finally, the study suggested some recommendations to improve attitudes of health workers toward elderly.
