Training Program in Statistical Analysis of Scientific Research’s Data and Its Effect on Attitude toward Scientific Research

dc.description.abstract The current research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a training program in statistical analysis of data for master and doctoral students at Faculty of Education in Umm Al Qura University on those students’ attitudes toward scientific research. For this purpose, the training program was applied to a sample of 26 males and female students. A test of statistical analysis of data and a measure of attitude toward scientific research were applied before and after the application of the training program. The results indicated that a statistically significant difference between means of the students' scores in pre and post applications for the test of statistical analysis in direction of post application. Also there were statistically significant differences between means of students' scores in pre and post applications of attitude toward scientific research in general and students' awareness of the importance of scientific research and extent to achieving characteristics of scientific research. The results also showed statistically significant differences in satisfaction about efforts in scientific research field and extent of scientific research skills were found. en_US
