dc.description.abstract The current research was conducted to investigate the factorial structure of positive thinking, and determinate the most variables (quality of academic life and academic motivation) that contribute to positive thinking. In addition, the study aimed to investigate the effect of the variables gender, level of faculty, and bilateral and trilateral interactions on positive thinking. The study sample was formed from (311) male and female students in Jazan University, (113) male and (198) female. Positive thinking scale, quality of academic scale and academic motivation scale were used as research tools , which all were prepared by the researcher. The results were analyzed using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) ,the Lisrel to do the analysis of exploratory factor analysis, stepwise multi regression analysis, and the multivariate analysis of variance. The results showed that positive thinking is a one potential factor with eight dimensions. Further, the results show that positive thinking can be predicted by the quality of academic life and academic motivation. Finally, the results showed that there was no statistically significant effect of the variables (gender, faculty, level, the bilateral and trilateral interactions between the variables) in all the dimensions of positive thinking and total score. en_US
