dc.description.abstract The study aims to examine the distance learning system in improving students' skills in the use of computer skills in education. The researcher followed the descriptive method, as well as the Experimental method, where a questionnaire consisting of )22( items was developed, after verifying validity and consistency. It was distributed electronically to a sample of )171( students from the various colleges of the University of Sharjah, using the )SPSS( package, In statistical treatment. It shows statistically significant differences estimates towards this role, and in favor of the group of students who spent more than two years at the university, and those with scientific disciplines. Thus, all null hypotheses were rejected in this study. The researcher recommended a review of the successful experiments and faltering experiences in the field of distance learning, and identifying causes of success failure, in order to be used in developing the appropriate strategy for distance learning. en_US
