The Imitation of the Overlap of the New and Old religious texts in “Jedaryat” Mahmood Darweesh

Abstract

This research aims at investigating the overlap of the old and new religious texts in Jedaryat Mahmood Darweeh. The importance of overlap results from the private moment represented through the religious point of view of the human existence experiment. The poet uses this experiment, through its indications, vibrations and condense as a base to evaluate his image for the real Arab world in one aspect and his experience with sickness and his vision of death on the other aspect. Therefore, this research includes comprehensive and impressive vocabulary from the Quran and Old Testament verses and some New Testament Christian verses. Darweesh used his poem experience to seduce his reader to follow up the discovery of this experiment which is evaluated more between extinction versus everlasting and existence versus nonexistence. As a result, the reader will be able through close vision to find out the sequence of religious text continuity through words and phrases in his Jedaryah.
