Abstract:
This research deals with Muhammad Abduh's attitude towards a group of religious concepts as to their analysis and explanation showing their correspondence to the rules of reason. In this sense these concepts become more factors for freedom than restrictions on man'saction Among these concepts are fate, man's voluntary actions, mono theism, polygamy, reformation of Education, civil authority in Islam and others. Abduh's goal behind this all was the liberation of Islam from traditional burdens and superstitions, and the coordination of Islamic beliefs in the light of modern thought, siding there by reason where ever there is a problem to solve. This makes him a clear extension of the Mu'tazila school.
