dc.description.abstract Simple reaction time (RT) was divided into cognitive and motor time to more closely determine the development changes in cognitive processing time. Motor time (MT) and cognitive time (pre-MT) were determined using Electromyography (EMG) to fractionate RT. Twenty-eight children were divided into two groups: ADHD (n=14) and non-ADHD (n=14) groups completed a minimum of 10 practice and 10 test trials by lifting the index finger from a depressed button. The result of this study indicated that significant differences between the two groups and ages were found. The most remarkable differences in this study were that children with ADHD spent more time than non-ADHD children on pre-MT in both ages. en_US
