dc.description.abstract This study aimed at recognizing the extent to which the academic and administrative leaders at Najran University had certain concepts of knowledge management. To achieve this, the researcher used the analytic descriptive approach and survey. The survey contained ten concepts, and every concept had four options; one was true and three were false. The assessment tool has been verified for reliability, validity. The sample contained 113 members of academic and administrative leaders. Results found that deans of colleges and vice-deans had higher concepts of knowledge management, while heads of academic departments and the administrators had moderate ones. There were significant differences for the deans, vice deans and PhD holders. The study recommended that Najran University should set up a plan for training and orienting its personnel in the field of knowledge management. The University should also encourage the processes of generating, acquiring and investing knowledge. The study suggested that many studies should be carried out on the extent of having the concepts of knowledge management by staff and students. Further studies should be done on this issue for the academic and administrative leaders of other Saudi Universities. en_US
