dc.description.abstract This study aimed to investigate the effect of using meta cognitive (K.W.L)strategy on acquiring physical concepts and developing science process skills among the basic stage students of different achievement motivation. The sample of the study consisted of (73) eighth grade female students from school in Madaba Governorate in Jordan which were randomly assigned to two groups, an experimental group (n=37) studied using the strategy of (K.W.L), and a controlled group (n=36) studied using the traditional method of teaching. To achieve the study’s aims, research instruments were designed: a teacher guide based on )K.W.L( strategy, physical concepts test, science process skills test and an achievement motivation scale. The results revealed that there were statically significant differences at )α=0.05( between the means of the experimental group and the control group in acquiring physical concepts and developing science process skills in favor of the experimental group The results also showed that students with high achievement motivation performed better than low achievement motivation students in acquiring physical concepts And there was no interaction between teaching strategy and achievement motivation on Acquisition Physical Concepts And developing science process skills en_US
