dc.description.abstract The Islamic architectural heritage retained its unique characteristic، its renewal spiritual and cultural function، and the unity or the contrast of its characteristics. The result is a cultural value associated with the evolution of development in relation to the process of urbanization and associated with the ancient cultures. It is known as an art of harmony, consistency and decoration. This paper focuses on this civilized value and its connection with the Islamic and Arabic urbanization. The improvement of traditional architecture through decoration shows the creative aesthetic elements in the Islamic architectural heritage. It is a remarkable component and the most prominent in the Islamic architectural style. Mosques have these unique features which reflect the level of outstanding architectural beauty of decorative art in Islam. This study states this renewed glorious heritage model. The study also digresses for maintaining the architectural heritage and modernity due to the necessary re-consideration of preserving the architectural heritage of Islam and the developments and renewal of its structural and aesthetic elements. The paper concludes by suggesting a number of recommendations and proposals that may help to guide the stakeholders of universities and institutions، scientific centers and specialized institutes، cultural، tourist and technical bodies work to revive the heritage of the aesthetic in Islam by adapting modern dynamic contemporary ways to make it more spacious and brighter. en_US
