dc.description.abstract | The influence of changing clipping factors on optical wireless communication (OWC) systems that use orthogonal frequency multiplexing division (OFDM) is discussed in this article. In the present paper, several modulators are available for optical OFDM. A study is undertaken on the two current transmission systems OFDM (O-OFDM), OFDM (ACO OFDM) with asymmetrical clipping as well as OFDM with direct current optical DCO OFDM. This investigation examines the comparison between two-dimensional ACO OFDM and DCO OFDM regarding the implementation process. This enables us to evaluate all performances without the hardware structure. The choice of the clipping factor has significant effects on the performance of OCC systems. The BER performance DCO-OFDM is more efficient concerning the ACO OFDM approach for the bit error rate to10−4 requirement with the signal-to-noise ratio SNR of nearly 18dB. The gain of 3 dB is because, like DCO-OFDM, ACO-OFDM uses just half the number of 2D data carriers. ACO OFDM system reduces the peak to average power ratios PAPRs, at the cost of increasing the bit error rate BER and computational complexity. It shows that the more efficient the PAPR reduction, the worse the performance of the BER. The analysis of the BER versus SNR ratio of two modes of optical wireless communication system was examined and various clipping factors of 0.9, 1.3, and 2.3. This system has been implemented using Lab view 2019 software. | en_US |
