Abstract:
The current study aimed at achieving the following two objectives: assessing the level of the future career anxiety of the students at the Jordanian public universities, and investigating the effect of gender and type of college (scientific and humanistic) on the student’s level of future career anxiety. To achieve these two objectives, valid and reliable instrument has been developed. An instrument administered on a sample of (408) students that were randomly selected from Yarmouk, Hashemite, and Muʼtah Universities. The study findings showed that university students in Jordan exhibited high level of anxiety with respect to their career anxiety future. Specifically, students from science colleges showed more anxiety than those from humanity colleges. Where, an interaction between students’ gender and type of colleges for males from science colleges was significant detected.
