Abstract:
The current study aims at identifying the personal and organizational reality as well as the required educational opportunities for using blogs in teaching among teachers of social sciences. In order to identify the reality and required opportunities for using blogs in teaching, the researcher has designed a questionnaire, whose validity and reliability has been verified and confirmed. The study sample consisted of (59) male teachers, besides (52) female teachers of social sciences. The study sample was selected from Riyadh, al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah, Jazan, and Eastern Region of K.S.A. The study reveals that the required personal reality for using blogs in teaching among teachers of social sciences occurs in a very lower level. Also, the study reveals that the required organizational reality for using blogs among teachers of social sciences occurs in an average level. Additionally, the findings reveal that multiplicity and diversity of the required educational opportunities in teaching among teachers of social sciences are significantly high. Finally, the current study reveals that there are no statistically significant differences between male and female teachers of social sciences in assessing and evaluating the organizational reality and the required educational opportunities for using blogs in teaching social sciences.
