Abstract:
This study aims at developing a Bahraini version of the visual self-esteem test for kindergarten children to identify the psychometric properties of this version, and to develop Bahraini norms. A total of (178) kindergarten children (96 males, 82 females) served as a standardization sample of the study. The items of the scale were reviewed and adapted to Bahraini society. Adaptations were made for the items to fit Bahraini society. Three types of reliability test were conducted to the scale: internal consistency by using Cronbach Alpha, Split half reliability, and the correlation between the items and its total. All of the results of reliability indicated that the scale is reliable. Inter correlation among cluster scales validity results revealed that the scale is valid In addition, percentile ranks were derived based on the scales’ raw scores and the quartiles were calculated according to the raw scores.
