Abstract:
The aim of this study is to find out and measure women’s attitudes toward physical activities for women in Saudi Arabia as long as these activities are held in accordance with the Saudi culture. The motives for women’s participation in physical activities were classified into four categories: physical, social, recreational and psychological. The responses of 150 female students from King Faisal University (Al-Ahsa Campus) were positive in the four categories mentioned above. It was found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 in the four categories. This indicates that at least one variable is significant. Their grade level and their major had no significant role in the formation of the students’ attitudes toward physical activities.
