Motives of Cyber Bullying among children in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

dc.description.abstract The study aimed to identify the motivations of cyber bullying among children in the Eastern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to as investigate the different in motivations behind children cyber bulling according to gender. To achieve this objective, a questionnaire was designed and distributed, insuring its reliability and validity to a random sample of 600 male and female children. The data were collected and analyzed by calculating the means and standard deviations while the Two-Ways ANOVA at level of )0.05( was implemented to measure the differences between groups means. The results showed that the motives of children for cyber bullying were high in general despite the differences in their geographical, economic and social environments. The results also showed that there were significant differences in the motives of children toward cyber bullying between the males and females at the level of 0.05 in favor of males. The study concluded with some recommendations to conduct further studies on other samples of different ages. en_US
