Abstract:
This study aims to use a proposed strategic plan to develop sports activities and examine its impact on students' participation level at Al Baha University colleges in the academic year 1432/1433 A. H. through recognizing university students' opinion on the reality of sports activities in the college and answering the study question of possible positive effect of using a strategic plan to develop sports activities on students' practice at Al Baha University. Both researchers used the descriptive survey method and the study population included all students at Al Baha University who are practicing sport activities. The survey consisted of 30 items. The most important conclusions of the study were that the actual achievement level of practicing sport activities in the individual internal sports was higher than the group sports, the percentage of participating in sports activities increased after applying the plan for group sports and for different faculties. In addition, the number of the internal and external sport activities increased. The most important work recommendations was to enhance and develop the sport activities in the faculty by staying abreast with the continuous changes and developments so that students can practice effectively, to carefully select the appropriate supervisors, and to encourage the students in all faculties to practice.
