dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of a proposed program based on self-efficacy to mitigate the effects of bipolar disorder among a sample of psychiatric patients in Kuwait. A proposed program was prepared to promote the level of self-efficacy among the study sample, in (20) sessions, over (10) weeks, with two sessions per week distributed into (3) stages. The quasi-experimental approach was used, self-efficacy scale and a bipolar disorder scale )by researchers( were implemented on a sample size of (10) psychiatric patients attending psychiatric clinics in Kuwait. Then finding the differences between the mean scores of the research sample before and after applying the program on the two scales. The study found that the experimental group's scores on the post-test were higher than their corresponding scores in the tribal scale on the pre-test on the Self-Efficacy Scale, and their scores on the Bipolar Disorder Scale were higher on the pre-test than their scores on the post-test. The results showed the effectiveness of the proposed program in mitigating the effects of bipolar disorder, as a result of prompting their level of self-efficacy, and the size of the effect was very large in mitigating those effects. en_US
