“What the dickens does he mean?!” A lexical-relational approach to understanding the meaning of a literary text

dc.description.abstract This research studies "Ressalat Tada`i Al-haiwanat ala Al-insan" by Ikhwan assafa from the side of the relation of the intellectual vision which the text (alressala) discusses and the educational approach from one side with the structure of the text from other side. Ikhwan assafa put at first the issue of showing their intellectual ideas upon any other literary and artistic consideration which made the structure of the text perform in a special frame to reveal their vision. The researcher tries to prove this relation through several procedures. He made a balance between two printed copies of the text trying to reach to the literary and scholarly dimension in the text. Then he tries to identify the ideology Ikhwan Assafa advocated in this text. Also he tries to identify the literary genre of the text. There for the literary genre connected to the structure which the text stands on. After that it was appropriate to discuss the text structure. It contains five basic structures along the text. The text structure attached to the ideology that Ikhwan Assafa adopted. Also the educational approach which Ikhwan Assafa took contributed to the structural form of the text. At the conclusion of the research the researcher listed the results which he came up with during the research. en_US
