Abstract:
During the last decades of the 20th century, and the beginning of the 21st century, there has been an increased risk of pollution of the environment This is why local, regional and international organizations work with many countries in order to control pollution and plan to keep a safer environment for the benefit of the coming generation (continuous environment). The most responsible of such work is the human being, upon whom the whole burden lies. But in order to respond to the needs of human kind, one needs psychological refining, creatve education and responsible upbringing. It has been proved that religiors guidance has a great impact on the behavior of religious people. In Islamic religion, there are many guidances and teachings that urge people to keep the environment safe and use it in beneficial, harmless ways. This research has dealt with the definition of the environment; its comprehensive and balanced components; the risks it encounters; the international efforts made to fight against such risks; the relation between man and the environment; the Islamic juristic bases related to ecological behavior; the Islamic instructions to people who are the users of environment; and the rules of using nature’s components: water, animals, plants, earth and air. The researcher has paid special attention to the ecological education of a Muslim: in his beliefs, worships, his relation with his Muslim and non ñ Muslim brothers, and that with the environmment’s natural components. The research concluded with the legislative principles that have bases in Islam and can be exploited in setting legislations for keeping the environment safe.
