The cloud computing can be seen as change and innovative technology that has leveraged the Internet world and its application to business enterprise and education. In developed nations cloud computing and virtualisation may be used interchangeably but its professional contributions and benefit in to education requires strategic applications especially within the HEI sectors. But this approach remains a reverse model in the developing economies due to the various challenges such as lack of power supply and Internet access and bandwidth capabilities, especially in Nigeria. It is obvious that the effective application of cloud computing in Nigeria will transform the traditional education model to computer based virtual applications with a focus on e-pedagogy. The knowledge domain and competencies required in the HEIs continues to act as draw backs in terms of skill acquisition and the development of sustainable innovative technological practices. |
