dc.description.abstract	The estimation of the skewness parameter of the skew Normal Distribution (SND) using the information in a Ranked Set Sample (RSS) is considered. The estimators obtained are compared with respect to their counterparts using a Simple Random Sample (SRS). One main object is to study the unfavorable properties of some well-known estimators of the skewness parameter. Numerical comparisons among the estimators are conducted.	en_US
