dc.description.abstract This research studies the phenomenon of Pause in Arabic language. The Pause has two aspects: Phonetical and phonological. Thus, it is important to treat these phenomena trying to apply the Autosegmental Phonology to overcome the traditional studies of Pause. We attempt to explore many concepts of this theory to distinguish between the different forms of the Pause such as: Gemination (taĐ؟ iif), Deletion (ħaθf) and (?iskaan)... en_US
