Using of Some Local Materials in Construction and their Connection to Rocks in the Palestinian Lands

Abstract

The research studies use some local materials in construction, and their relation to rocks in Palestinian lands, and their distribution in the Palestinian Governorates according their kinds and values. The research is divided into a number of subjects. The first deals with the strategy of the research. The second studies kinds of housing units which were built from cleaned stones, and cleaned stones with cement, and those built from concrete and cement blocks. Last, housing units were built from clay and old stones were studied. The research concludes with showing the results, suggestions and recommendations.
