dc.description.abstract All barriers have been removed by the internet, which has completely changed how we interact with one another, watch movies, make friends, work, play games, shop, listen to music, place food orders, pay bills, and wish people anniversaries and birthdays. Key services and infrastructures in our increasingly networked world are based on digital information [1]. There is no doubt about the benefits offered by the internet but with all these benefits there are many disadvantages, one of them is cybercrime which costs millions of dollars every year. User awareness is considered one of the most significant factors when it comes to dealing with cyber-attacks. Although numerous efforts (such as emails, posters, in-class instruction, web seminars, and games) are done to raise awareness among people but these efforts often fail to achieve the purpose as these initiatives are often implemented without proper planning as there are no standard guidelines that can be followed when developing awareness initiatives. Therefore, this research aims to fill this gap of not having a structured approach of designing awareness programs. This study proposes a framework which can serves as a benchmark in providing guidance in how to successfully plan and implement cyber security awareness campaigns/programs by identifying all the key factors en_US
