The present study explores Yemeni rural secondary school students' Attitudes Towards English Language Teachers (ATELTs) and their English Language Learning Motivation (ELLM). The study also attempts to: 1) investigate the inter-relationship between students' ATELT, ELLM and their achievement in English, and 2) investigate if there are significant differences between students' ATELTs and ELLM according to gender. A total of 75 (males=33 and females=42) rural secondary schools students participated in this study. They completed a questionnaire and answered a test. Descriptive as well as inferential statistical analyses were calculated by using SPSS. The results shows that the participants’ ATELTs was favorable and their ELLM was quite high, as well. However, there was no significant relationship between their ELLM and ATELTs and there were no significant differences between male and female students regarding their ATELTs and ELLM. |
