This study aimed at investigating the extent of the acquisition of instructional competencies by the instructors of intermediate diploma students at Al-Balqa Applied University. To achieve this purpose, a two-part questionnaire was designed, the first part aimed at obtaining information about instructors in regard to qualification, years of experience and gender; the second part consisted of (37) items of instructional competencies which identify the extent of the acquisitions of such competencies by instructors from their own points of view. The questionnaire was distributed to a randomly selected sample of (160) male and female instructors in different stages. The means and standard deviations of the responses of the subjects were calculated in regard to their acquisition of instructional competencies from their own point of view. The researcher used (ANOVA) and Scheffe’ post hoc comparison test by using (SPSS) program. The results of the study indicated the existence of statistical significant differences (a = 0.05) due to qualification; whereas the other two variables (years of experience and gender) did not show any statistical differences. |
