This study aims at assessing the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on developing creative thinking in relation to students attending Discovery Schools. The sample of this study comprised (160) male and female students, (80) students of whom attending Discovery Schools and the remaining (80) students not attending Discovery Schools. For data collection the researchers used the Tourans Speech Detection Test. The results showed discrepancies with statistical significance between the group that received education with the support of ICT compared to the one that received the same education in the conventional manner without the use of ICT. This discrepancy as indicated in the major degree of theTourans Creative Thinking Test was in favor of the group that received ICT-Assisted learning. The same applies to the minor degree of the same test for (originality, flexibility and fluency). Based on the above, the study concludes that ICT definitely plays a substantial role in developing students’ creative thinking. |
