Self Concept and it’s Relationship with Psychosocial Maladjustment

dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between self-concept and it’s different types (physical self-concept, ethical self-concept, personal self-concept, familial self-concept, and social self-concept) with psychosocial maladjustment. The sample of 200 students (male & female) in The Public Authority for Applied Education & Training (State of Kuwait) with a mean age of 20.58 ± 2.51 were examined with self-concept questionnaire and psychosocial maladjustment questionnaire. Result: 1- There are statistically significant differences between male and female on the total score of self-concept questionnaire, (physical self-concept, ethical self-concept and personal self-concept) on the female side. but there are no statistically significant differences between male and female on familial self-concept, and social self-concept. 2- There are statistically significant differences between male and female So on the total score of psychosocial maladjustment on the male side.3- There are negative statistically significant correlation between the total score of self-concept , the five types of self-concept and the psychosocial maladjustment.4- The negative familial self-concept, and social self-concept are a good predictable to psychosocial maladjustment. en_US
