Assessing Teaching Behavior Styles of a Sample of Teachers in Primary Schools in South Amman

dc.description.abstract This study aimed at assessing teaching behavior styles of teachers in primary schools in South Amman. A scale was developed; containing 40 items distributed into five styles of behaviour its psychometric properties were investigated. It was applied to the sample which consisted of 300 teachers. The results revealed that there were significant differences in formal authority, personal model, and facilitator styles on the benefit of females, no differences in teaching styles related to monthly pay, no effect of qualification and subjects on expert, formal authority and delegator styles. An effect of experience on expert and formal authority styles, no effect of qualification, experience and subjects on personal model and facilitator styles. en_US
