dc.description.abstract |
This study aimed at constructing a scale to gauge teachers’ attitudes toward the International Computer Driving License (ICDL).To achieve the purpose of the study, 44 items were constructed according to a Likert rating scale forming the preliminary scale. The responses of 1100 teachers who had the ICDL were analyzed by using the Generalized Graded Unfolding Model. The results of the analysis indicated that 39 items not only fit the expectations of the model but also their scale value cover the latent continuum from the negative to positive attitude regularly and have appropriate psychometric properties with a reliability coefficient of (0.95) and several validity indicators. The results also showed that the items of the scale yielded successive and ordered thresholds for the categories of the scale with high discrimination power for these thresholds, which made these items contribute in offering the maximum amount of the information about the relative position of the teachers according to their selection of each item of the scale. Which, in turn, is consistent with the expectations of the model |
