Abstract:
The present research aims to identify the level of Arabic language teachers' performing roles in improving the values of citizenship in their students from the viewpoint of the students themselves. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire is designed to identify the viewpoint of the 11th and 12th grades students in the Sultanate of Oman. The sample size was 387 students selected randomly from the Governorate of Muscat, and Batinah North. The result showed significant differences at the level of (0.05) between male teachers and female teachers in the level of improving the values of citizenship in students, and the differences were in favor of female teachers. This means that female teachers are more interested in improving the values of citizenship in students than male teachers. According to the results of the study, the researcher provided a number of recommendations for areas of preparation of Arabic language teacher and in-service training. for areas of preparation of Arabic language teacher and in-service training.
