The Practice Level of Knowledge Management in Al- Blaqa Applied University from the Perspective of the Administrators at the Higher and Middle Administration

dc.description.abstract The study aims at identifying the practice level of knowledge administration in Al-Balqa Applied University from the perspective of the administrators who work in the higher and middle administration and the relation of practice level with the following variables: administrative level and years of experience. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire consisting of (80) items was used and distributed into nine fields: diagnostic knowledge, determining goals of knowledge, creating knowledge, storing knowledge, distributing knowledge, applying knowledge, organizing knowledge, retrieving knowledge, and sustaining knowledge. After the validity and reliability of the tools were asserted, they were applied to the sample of the study which consisted of (198) administrators in the higher and middle administration who were selected according to the random stratified sample. Then, the collected data was analyzed. The findings of the study show that the practice level of knowledge administration at Al-Balqa Applied University from the perspective of the administrators who work in the higher and middle administration was moderate in all the fields of the study where the mean of the total score was (2.81). The study also reveal that there were no significant differences at the level (a=0.05) in the total score of practicing knowledge administration attributed to the variables; level of administration and years of experience. The study recommended the following: conducting more studies in this field, paying more attention to applying knowledge by keeping an eye on the best international practices in the field of applying the knowledge, and creating an environment which motivates creativity in the university through the cooperation between the implicit and explicit knowledge. en_US
