Alienation in the Educational Mode among University Youth in the Light of Some Variables: a Case Study Field on a Sample from the College of Education

dc.description.abstract This study aimed at identifying the alienation in the social mode among university youth, it used the comparative descriptive method. The study was conducted on a sample consisted of (203) students representing the variables of the study: gender, study level, GPA, and responding to a questionnaire of (50) items, each of these items represents one aspect of alienation, and was allocated into six domains: norms loss, social isolation, control loss, indifference, estrangement, meaning loss questionnaire. The results showed that the alienation aspects on the total scale was moderate, the domain of the norms loss was the first rank, it was followed by control loss, then the meaning loss domain, the social isolation, after that the estrangement, finally the indifference domain. The results also showed that there were no significant differences on the scale; of alienation due to gender according to all of the domains of the scale, there were significant differences on the domain of the norms loss in favor of males, but the differences on the social isolation and the estrangement domains were in favor of females. The results also showed that there were significant differences on the whole scale of alienation due to study level and the GPA variables. en_US
