dc.description.abstract This study aimed to discover the effect of the reciprocal teaching strategy in reading comprehension for students of the elementary fifth grade. The sample consisted of four sections. The number of students was (102) from the elementary fifth-grade students from primary schools in the Directorate of Education, the District of Bani Kenana, Irbid Governorate. To achieve the objective of the study, a test was designed consisting of (32) items. The results showed the existence of significant differences in reading comprehension due to the effectiveness of reciprocal teaching strategy, and the absence of differences due to gender. In light of the results, the researcher recommended the need to employ interactive teaching strategy in teaching reading in Arabic language for elementary fifth grade students. en_US
