Abstract:
The study aimed at identifying the nature of the conduct leading to the basketball coach from the standpoint of the players in the governorates of the Gaza Strip, according to some variables (class - center for play - experience), as well as identifying the nature of leadership behavior to the basketball coach from the perspective of the trainers on a random sample strength consisting of (120) players, representing (66.6%) of the population of the study of their number (180), and (18) coach a comprehensive society. used the descriptive method, and the measure of leadership in the sport of design Saleh and Chelladurai and quotation and Arabization of Allawi (1998). The results of the first question that the leadership behavior of the basketball coach from the standpoint of the players were a few where a percentage of (55.7%), was achieved and came behaviors of leadership from the perspective of the players as follows from most to least: behavior autocratic - Social Behavior Assistant - the behavior of reward - Conduct training - of democratic behavior. The results of the second question that the leadership behavior of choice for basketball coach from the perspective of the trainers was a medium where a percentage of (66.6%), and came behaviors of leadership from the perspective of the players as follows from most to least: behavior autocratic - the behavior of reward - Conduct training of social behavior Assistant - democratic behavior. There was no statistically significant differences at the level of (α=0.05) in the leadership behavior of the basketball coach in the governorates of the Gaza Strip from the viewpoint of the players due to the changes following (class, status and experience) in the third question , and the fourth, and fifth, respectively.
