dc.description.abstract |
This study aimed at the experimental assessment of the effectiveness of the approximate mathematical formula to calculate the amount of inflation in the value of the correlation coefficient between item score and total score depending on the number of item different alternatives. To achieve the goals of the study, an achievement test was developed in the Introduction to Statistics educational course consisting of )50( items. The results showed that there is broad consistency in the results of equations estimate of the amount of inflation in the value of the correlation coefficient between item score and total score depending on the number of item different alternatives,. The results also revealed that increasing the number of item alternatives reduces the spurious value in the correlation coefficient between the item score and total score. |
