An Evaluation of the Master's Programs in Physical Education at the University of Bahrain from Graduates' Perspectives

dc.description.abstract The aim of the study is to evaluate the Master’s programs of Physical Education at the University of Bahrain from graduates’ perspectives, and to examine its relationship to sex, year of experience, and type of specialization. The sample of the study consisted of (65) programs' graduates. Data were collected using an instructional questionnaire developed by the researchers. The questionnaire comprised of (78) items that were distributed on (8) major domains. Data obtained were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, T-test, and One-Way ANOVA. The study results revealed that programs' graduates perceived the overall effectiveness of the Master Degree in Physical Education to be highly efficient. The results showed that dimensions of program coursework, faculty supervision, admission requirements, program study plan, and evaluation methods were satisfied by graduates. However, the dimensions of teaching methods and learning activities as well as library services were not satisfactory according to graduates. There were statistical differences in respondents' answers to some dimensions of the programs in relation to gender, GPA, year of graduation, and type of specialization. Results were discussed within the framework of literature and several recommendations were made. In the light of the findings, the study suggested some recommendations. en_US
