Abstract:
The research aims at exploring the role of secondary school principals in change management in Hail educational region, and exploring the differences between the sample individuals due to the post, qualification, and experience. The Sample consisted of 1036 individuals, they were asked to fill up a 49 paragraph questionnaire on change management in five fields: planning, organization, directing and control decision-making, and evaluation. For analyzing the data, mean, percentage, one-way Anova, and Pearson correlation were used. The results indicated that the degree of applying change administration was high, and that most used field is evaluation and the least is organization. The results also showed no statistically significant differences in applying change management due to the qualification and experience. There were differences based on the post in the field of organization between the supervisors and Counsellors. The differences were in the interest of the supervisors. The researcher recommends that more training courses should be held to increase the efficiency of principals in change management at schools.
