Abstract:
This study aimed at identifying the degree faculty members use information and communication technology in teaching at Shaqra University. To achieve this aim, the researcher developed a questionnaire which includes: training programs related to the field of this study, software available for teaching purpose, obstacles which hinder using information and communications technology in teaching. The sample of this study consists of 126 faculty members. The result of the study showed that the usage of information and technology by faculty members is still moderate in general. The commonly usage of software is database programs. Moreover, the results revealed that 40% of the study sample was not attending training courses in this area. Moreover, this study revealed that there were numbers of difficulties that hinder them of using information and technology in teaching. The study demonstrated that there were statistical significant differences in the usage of information and technology in teaching attributed to the experience.
