The Problems of the Jordanian Family in the North of Jordan in the Light of Sociability Variable, District of AlKoura: A Case Study

Abstract

The study aims at exploring most significant problems encountered by the Jordanian family in the District of AlKoura, North Jordan. It also investigates the impact of some variables such as gender, father’s education, family size and income on types of problems. The study was conducted on a random sample consisting of (380) families out of (15108) families living in AlKoura District. A questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data. The study reached a number of conclusions most importantly are: First: High cost of living, high prices, limited income in the light of increased life requirements. Second, social and family problems such as poor communication and interaction among family members, housing problems, cost of school fees for children. Third, Families suffer from health problems such as shortage in health problems and the spread of some diseases. Results of dissimilarity tests showed significant differences in relation to type of problems attributed to gender, or father’s education or family size. Some significant differences were found in relation to monthly family income.
