The paper deals with the educational values in Luqman’s preachment to his son, the sentimental, ethical, social & mental values, and the beauty in its different aspects according to the preachment flow as mentioned in the Holy Quran. The research paper begins with a brief introduction showing the reasons for choosing this topic and the definition of “values”, followed by the importance of Islamic values, their functions and what distinguishes it. Then the paper studied Luqman, and mentioned what the Mofassreen (Quran Interpreters) said about him, clarifying the correct method in such cases. Later, the researcher studied the preachment and the values it contains, stressing that values are interlinked and overlapped and cannot be separated mathematically. Prayer, for an example, is a sentimental value, and because it forbids one from obscene acts, it is a moral value as well. It is also a social value because a society is a collection of value-bearing individuals, while at the same time; it has mental values because one has to be time-conscious, and so on. Finally, the researcher concluded the paper by giving deductions & recommendations. |
