Prospective Conception of Science Supervisors and Teachers on the Importance of Availability of the Basic Components in the Handbook for Primary School Female Science Teachers

dc.description.abstract The study aimed at identifying the basic component currently available in the handbook of the science female teachers from the perspective of the science supervisors and teachers at the primary school level as well as the prospective elements that need to be included in the handbook with a view to ensure an upgraded handbook for the primary school science teacher. The study purported getting around answers to the following questions: 1) degree of availability and importance of the objectives factor in the primary school science teacher’s handbook from the viewpoint of the surveyed respondents. 2) Degree of availability and importance of the content factor in the primary school science teacher’s handbook from the viewpoint of the survey respondents. 3) Degree of availability and importance of the teaching and learning activities factor in the primary school science teacher’s handbook from the viewpoint of the surveyed respondents. 4) Degree of availability and importance of the evaluation factor in the primary school science teacher’s handbook from the viewpoint of the surveyed respondents.5) degree of availability and importance of the organizational factor in the primary school science teacher’s handbook from the viewpoint of the surveyed respondents .A questionnaire was used for the data collection; it comprises five major theme factors of approach: (objectives - content - learning activities – evaluation - content organization) in addition to the basic factor around which the teacher’s handbook is organized. These major themes included 62 structured items to facilitate judgment of actual existence which were on a five-point scale (very high level, high level, average, limited, and marginal). Data analysis reviewed a need for the female science teacher’s handbook to include the factors and components reviewed in the study (objectives - content - teaching and learning activities - evaluation - organizational factors) in addition for the need to undertake a reconstruction of the female primary school science teacher’s handbook. en_US
